Is the Digital Product Passport mandatory for textiles yet?

No. ESPR is in force as the framework, but the textile-specific requirements only become binding once the delegated act is adopted, expected in 2027. Compliance is realistically from 2028 to 2029. Seamdex exists so you can be ready early, not because you are late.

What do I need to get started?

Do you integrate with our ERP?

Publishing creates an immutable snapshot, so the passport your customer scans is exactly the record you approved. Corrections happen by publishing a new version, with a full history and an audit trail.

Can passports run on our own domain?

Every EU country must have a producer responsibility scheme running, with fees expected to depend on garment weight and recyclability.

Passports realistically become mandatory for textiles placed on the EU market, 18 months after the delegated act enters into force.
